Surf Etiquette

Surf  Etiquette

Back in the old day when surfing was a little more underground, surfers would constantly be getting into hassles with one one another over waves.  Well things have come along way and there is  more people in the water and less localization however the rule of thumb is still the same and that is respect.

Rules of Respect

* Respect the landscape, wildlife,  the beach, local surfers and people in general.

* Surfer closest to the curl who has gotten up faster and is more committed has the right of the wave.

* Please look both ways before dropping in on anybody! Make sure to yield to anyone who is more committed and deeper.

* Be polite and smile. Have fun out there and remember surfing is a fun sport!

* Pick up your trash before you leave and no cigarette butts! Lets keep the beaches clean!
